Veterans Entrepreneurial Trust is building a Nonprofit Loan Program funded by community partners, foundations, and the revenue provided by the Go Green Warehouse to provide low interest loans (1% to 3%) and revolving lines of credit to existing and future 501(c)3 public charities that are aligned with our priorities.

  • Applicants must be establishing or running a nonprofit charitable organization classified as a 501(c)3 public charity by the Internal Revenue Service.  
  • Applicants must demonstrate that their nonprofit's leadership is led by a veteran entrepreneur (or veteran entrepreneurs) at the Board or Staff level.  
  • Must work in VET's focus areas:  nonprofits that help veterans in need, veteran woman economic empowerment, sustainability, and the environment.  
  • Applicants must show that their nonprofit is visionary in its methods and impact, that its business practices and operations are sound, and that it has true financial need (can't get capital from traditional sources).
  • Applicants must be participate in our VET Mentor Program.
What are the limitations of the Nonprofit Loan Program?
  • We can only makes loans to nonprofit charitable organizations classified as 501(c)3 public charities by the Internal Revenue Service. We do not make loans directly to individuals or for-profits.
  • Applicants must demonstrate that loaned funds are used for purposes consistent with VET’s charitable and educational purposes.
  • Our geographic focus is exclusively the United States.  
  • We are unable to support candidates for political office, to influence legislation, or to support sectarian or religious purposes.
  • We do not fund endowments or debt reduction.
